JCIP-Puerto Princesa Peacock shines in SOLAC ‘05

The JCIP-Puerto Princesa Peacock won three several major awards in the recently held Southern Luzon Area Conference of Area III in Mauban, Quezon.

     The awards were Best Jaycee Week, Best Fund Raising Project Award for Parti Sa Calle IV, and LOM President of the Year Award-Category III for JC Celeste Anna R. Formoso. A merit award was also received by the 1st Youth Congress Against Drugs under the Best Youth Development Award category.

     JC Malou Paglinawan, LOM executive vice-president of the JCIP-Puerto Princesa Peacock; and JC Imee Publico, its VP Internal, received the awards.

     The Local Organization Management (LOM) Chapter thanks its members, past preidents and supporters for the hard work they have contributed during the year.

     "All the awards that the Chapter received are owed to the hardworking members of the LOM. They have shown dedication and sincere leadership and entrepreneurship to the organization, and as a result, this glory. We thank also our past presidents and supporters who endlessly supported us through whatever means possible. The JCIP-Puerto Princesa Peacock will continue to serve the community and exhibit great leaderhsip so that lives can be touched," she said.

     The Jaycee Week Celebration of the LOM Chapter was chosen to receive the major awards for the many projects it was able to accomplish on April 17-23, 2005 which follows the tenets of the JC Creed. Parti Sa Calle, on the other hand, was chosen because it was the project most feasible implemented by a LOM which earned significantly.

     The JCIP-Puerto Princesa Peacock is a well-known organization of young female professionals in the City involved in civic projects as well as improving the leadership capability of the youth. For 2005, it has implemented 44 projects, all leaned towards helping improve lives and training members to be great leaders.
